If you knew me, you would know that I absolutely LOVE the Temptations, and am slightly obsessed with them. My collection is quite impressive.

Something I want to work on: Meditation

While going through my likes just now, I saw a gif set from the movie, The Darjeeling Limited, with Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and Jason Schwartzmen. I had seen this movie about two weeks ago or so, and liked it a lot. A theme that ran throughout the film was meditation (I won’t tell you what happened or give too many details, but it kind of reminded me of a Eat, Pray, Love kind of movie).

After seeing that film, I wanted to experiment with other ‘techniques’ of meditation. I reflect a lot, and those reflections can be based on a scripture or book I’ve read or something that ran across my mind. But do I meditate on these things?… and honestly, what even is meditation? How does one go about doing that? That’s what I want to find out.

I know yoga is something that helps (I used to do it every morning before school during my senior year of high school. That was before WEDU stopped being on basic cable.). And I’m not sure if I’d be able to take chanting seriously. So these next couple of days, I’m going to try different things. And of course I will share what I think and feel.

I feel like this will help me more in my studying and with stress and anxiety in general. And, I feel like this will help me grow tremendously.
